Facebook controlling mindsets

FB has created a mafia that is dominating the way people think and govern their living. Initially people used to rely on newspaper as hardcore form of resource to extract knowledge but now things have changed to a great extent. Majority of people now go to external links provided on FB to acquire information on almost any topic. The company this way is making massive revenues and their income is quadrupling.
Many companies understand, that the future lies in social media and for the same reason many companies have diverted their focus on it. Even publishers understand this and many big firms that are associated to publishing have started to use it as their forum of communication. Most of the browsing we do now is through social mediums. Usually potential users see a link with a catchy title and thus opt for it.  Now focus is to make FB the medium to govern publicizing. With the way things are progressing on social forums it can be said that further no post, video, gif will actually opt for any other forum.

This became a massive deal when New York Times published that FB itself is in contract with many publishers in order to become the host of its pages on its own. Facebook has succeeded in making its mobile application popular among the masses and most of the browsing is now done through this forum. Considering this, they now want to make publishing in such a manner that people don’t opt for anything else. They login and get access directly to quality content. For this they require collaboration with publishers and thus will also share revenues with them.
The concept which Facebook is trying to market to alien is kind of alien to them. They understand that through this they would apparently lose their identity. This might be depicted as a partnership at first but eventually they might just kill their individuality and lose their stance in the market. The problem that publishers will face now is that if they turn this offer down then there are chances that they would hamper their terms with the Facebook with no company in pure sanity would want. But if they agree then it will be their choice to bid their identity away. Both situations are a tough call for them. FB on the other hand is constantly paving its way to success.
